Comeau Coaching & Academic Support
Lorri Comeau, M.Ed.
ADHD Parent Coach & Learning Specialist
Creating Successful Outcomes

For over twenty years, I have enjoyed working with students, families, and educators regarding the strengths and challenges surrounding ADHD. I established Comeau ADHD Coaching in 2020, passionate about changing how we view and support ADHD in school and the home. As a college disability service provider, I noticed that students arrived at college without the learning strategies and self-advocacy skills needed to succeed. Using a strengths-based approach, I educate students about their diagnosis and teach them the executive function tools required for academic and personal success. I infuse coaching and Motivational Interviewing techniques, supporting students where they are in their journey and creating an optimal environment for change. We are all on a spectrum of neurodiversity where learning differences are expected, not deficits.
My commitment to further support students and parents led to co-authoring the book/workbook, The Essential Six, A Parent's Guide: Paving the Road to Self-Advocacy for College Students with Learning Differences, published through the Association on Higher Education and Disability (ahead.org). I am in the process of writing a second book, and this past year, I have worked as a Senior Associate Researcher writing about topics related to student learning and parent support for Level All (levelall.com).
As a professional ADHD Parent Coach, I teach collaborative communication skills and educate parents about ADHD, leading to positive changes in family dynamics and student outcomes. I received ADHD parent coach training from Cindy Goldrich, Ed.M., ADHD-CCSP, author of two books - 8 Keys to Parenting Kids with ADHD and ADHD, Executive Function and Behavioral Challenges in the Classroom (ptscoaching.com).
My most significant career experience is working at Landmark College in Putney, VT, the nation's premier college for students with learning differences. I supervised Landmark College Advisors, directly supported students and families during the academic year, and taught in Landmark's distinguished summer programming. I worked as an Education Specialist with Landmark's Institute for Research and Training traveling the country and delivering educator workshops. In addition, I served as Executive Director of the Curtis Blake Center at American International College and TRIO Director at Westfield State University. I also served as a Disability Specialist at the University of Connecticut's Center for Students with Disabilities and as their liaison for student-athletes with ADHD and Learning Disabilities.
I am an enthusiastic and skilled workshop presenter providing professional development for educators and parents on various disability-related topics. I extensively presented while an Education Specialist for Landmark College and at national conferences throughout my career. I graduated with the highest honors from the University of Massachusetts with a Master’s in Education, Curriculum & Instruction.
